Although attending a convention at Disney Resort isn’t quite the same as taking a vacation trip, it’s still a wish come true for a Disney enthusiast. Several strategies can help you get your Disney fix around a convention schedule. In fact, the convention can be an excellent opportunity to learn, earn CPE credit and to have some fun exploring the Disney with friends and family.
Consider arriving in Anaheim a day before the convention or giving yourself an extra day after the convention ends.
Watch out for further details including cheaper hotel accommodation and park tickets.

Modern-day Anaheim was built around its status as a family-friendly destination. You and your family will have plenty of memories to create. Along with the city's famous theme parks, you'll also find other spots that cultivate their own sense of adventure and wonder.
Disneyland® Resort - Since 1955, this enchanted land of fun and fantasy has been inspiring childlike wonder in people of all ages. Disneyland® Resort is not the only game in town when it comes to theme parks. The Anaheim area has a few other attractions designed to excite you and your family. You’ll find a mix of state-of-the-art thrill rides and easygoing attractions designed for little ones. You may even encounter a beloved cartoon character or 2.
Disneyland® Park - Your family will be excited to meet their favorite Disney® characters and ride classic rides like It’s a Small World. Be sure to grab a spot on Main Street U.S.A. to watch one of the park’s daily parades.
Disney® California Adventure - Explore the landscape of California (and a couple of Pixar movies) at this sprawling theme park. Several classic carnival rides are here for you to enjoy, as are innovative attractions like the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Knott's Berry Farm - In business since 1940, this 160-acre property is packed with 15 roller coasters and thrill rides. A visit to Camp Snoopy gives kids the chance to shake paws with the world’s most famous beagle.
Experiences with nature - The Anaheim area is home to numerous parks, ideal when your family needs a break from the crowds. You’ll find simple hiking trails that weave around bodies of water, leading your crew past native trees, plants, and animals like the acorn woodpecker. If you wish to insert a little education into your vacation, some parks also feature museums and live animal exhibits.
Oak Canyon Nature Center - Explore 3 canyons filled with oak woodland and coastal sage scrub on a hike through this 58-acre park.
Carbon Canyon Regional Park - If you take a 1-mile hike along this park’s well-marked dusty trail, you’ll find a secluded cluster of coastal redwoods: the only grove of its kind in Orange County.
